    Some Bird pics from Africa

    These are some bird pics from Tanzania. Anyone know what they are?

    The lower two of the first pictures look very much like our Snowy Egrets (South America), do they live in Africa too ? I dont know, but you should be able to track them down with a little google.
    Keep your sense of proportion by regularly, preferably daily, visiting the natural world.

    Black Chested Snake Eagle Circaetus cinereus

    top right
    Superb Starling Lamprotornis superbus

    middle left
    Grey-Headed Kingfisher Halycyon leucocephala
    that one is a little harder need a good back shot to confirm, but the rusty vent is a pretty good identifier

    bottom two are close to snowy egretsEgretta thula they are Little Egrets Ergretta garzetta


    second post

    top left
    beautiful African grey crowned crane Balearica regulorum and since you were in tanzania you have the gibbericeps subspecies

    top right
    another Grey-Headed Kingfisher Halycyon leucocephala

    final bird
    marabou stork Leptoptilus crumeniferus

    any other african bird shots?
