Snow and Ice
The six inches of snow in the Pacific Northwest was pleasant, but the following ice storm was not so pleasant and the following power outages were not cool at all. But at least for some of us the power is back now and I did get a few pictures during all the weather.
Critique very welcome.

some great images here! love that band tailed pigeon shot!

Re: Snow and Ice
I love the ice shots -- ice is magical in my book, like a 'preserved in glass' spell. But the shot of the Varied Thrush is my favorite. I love these colorful birds! And the image of the pigeon with frost on its tail feathers is too cool for words!

Re: Snow and Ice
A lot of really reddish orange--did you saturate the colors?
-
Re: Snow and Ice
Yeah, I think I did, but not a lot. The Coral-bark Mapel has really bright colored branches.

Re: Snow and Ice
Nice work! I think the first and last are my favorite but I like them all!
Ice storms can be so beautiful as well as a pain in the butt! We don't get them much here in Western Co but when I lived in Southern Michigan they were a semi-regular occurrence. My friends and I would go ice skating around the neighborhood when they would call off school from an ice storm!

Re: Snow and Ice
The first looks like a golf course!!! :)
I like the thrush for the color splash it gives the picture.
