    Sneaking up on these guys is difficult!

    I did however! I see this one all the time near my home. Haven't been able to capture him/her yet though. Actually sneeked up on it last weekend. I was in my car.

    Good job. Keep at it - you'll eventually find opportunities which will allow you to position yourself under your terms.

    FWIW, on some days I can literally walk underneath medium sized trees with a RTH or a coopers sitting in it (but not necessarily in good shooting position) without spooking them off. On other days, I can't stalk to within a 100 yards of them.

    It's definately not easy to sneak up on any bird of prey , so you did great.
