a garter snake makes a getaway



this one has been sitting on the hard drive a while. In color it's so busy it has little impact. Converting to monochrome brings up the shape of the snake as did the square crop and the 45 degree rotation. Playing with color sliders in black and white is fun and allowed me to bring up just the right richness. I think it works. Only took me 2 months

I really like this picture! good job on converting to monochrome. I can imagine only imagine the color being a bit much but the lines on the snake and the contras of the leafs/dirt looks really good. great job!

it's not. wrong color and markings. I do have a shot of a baby ribbon though -


isn't it cute? smaller than a pencil it was and frozen scared.
