Sherman Fox Squirrel

I was shooting a golf tournament and had Sherman Fox Squirrels bothering me all day. Here's one of them.



I thought it was a gopher.. but changed the title because I was wrong..oops!

It turns out its a Sherman Fox Squirrel. Never seen one of these. I thought golf course.. gopher!!!

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I had never heard of these, but I googled them (I have an insatiable curiosity) and found out they are a "threatened" species, only found (or known) in Florida and are about twice the size of a "normal" grey squirrel - definitely much bigger than our resident gophers, so nice capture. You may be one of the few people who have ever seen these in the wild.
