    Several from Today

I got out for several hours wandering with my camera today. Luckily I managed a few decent shots...

This black bird with a brown head I can't identify...

    Anyone???

Got a shot of this butterfly blending into the fallen leaves...

Just liked the colours and composition of this one...

Got a few shots of this Blue Wing Teal..

Not sure what type of duck this one is...

Got a shot of a Northern Shoveller duck...

    A redwing blackbird...

And a whole mess of squirrel shots. Seems like they were all over today...

Looks like it will be a good summer for walks...

You've got good eyes finding that butterfly.

I like the last two squirrel shots, although I had to bend my neck a bit to appreciate the second one of the two squirrels shots

Scott-devon, the first one is an adult male Brown-headed Cowbird. These birds are what is known as brood-parasites, that is they lay their eggs in other birds nests to have them raised by the other bird. HTH.

Looks like you had an great day!

I too like the 2nd to last shot - very cute.

Your squirrels have white "eyelids" which makes them much more interesting to look at than our version.

    Thanks for sharing.
