    Scissor Tailed Flycather

Had a run in with a flock(?) of scissor tailed flycatchers while roaming around campus this evening.

This was just 2 of the 6 or 8 that were out there.

Another one of the lovely couple.

This doesn't have the best IQ, but he is actually catching dinner. Just a little fast food.

As I was walking away, this one came and sat on the fence that I was walking along just begging me to take his picture.

And again. As I kept walking, he would fly a little farther down the fence and pose some more.

Finally, got tired of doing little flights, and the rest of them were bunkering down for the night.

Thanks a bunch Eric. Since spotting this group last night, I have seen a bunch more around campus. Guess I found something new to try and capture

    Cool find!

I Hope you don't ever take for granted what you have down there. I know many people around my parts who would travel 1000+ miles to see such birds.

Thanks everyone! They were a very cool find indeed, and until then I had never seen any this close. I had seen them before, but at a distance, so was reeeeeeally excited to find them and get so close to them.

    Thanks again
