    Really nice macro shots Cara, probably with extension tubes? My favorites are #1 for its sharpness & clarity and #7 for being a rare and unique capture.

    Thanks Ken

    All were taken with the 300mm f/4 L IS and extension tubes (my entire set stacked, so 64mm of extension?) on manual focus, except, if I recall correctly, for #10, which was just my 300mm, and then cropped in.

    For some reason, I've only come across a robber fly once. Guess I'm not looking in the right places.

    Ok but why it's called Yellow Collared Scape Moth....on the first photos can't see any yellow...anyway you took the shots very professionaly...specially the on in mid air.

    From what I read, the other common name for them is orange collared scape moth. They're collars are usually orange by occasionally yellow. It probably varies on the diet in the area they frequent.
