    Saturday Morning in the Backyard

Well I was finally home when there was some decent light. Most of the time when I'm home it is too early or to late in the evening to have good light. This morning I skipped work and checked out the wild life in the backyard. I'll admit I was in my robe bare legged (20 degrees) and I didn't get off the back porch, but I did have pretty of good light for a change. All images with the D2h and Sigma 70-300 with the Kenko 1.4x converter. Most are cropped as well.

Nice shots Larry. I have tons of birds in the yard today, but with a forcasted high of 1, I'm staying inside.

Very nice! I admit it doesn't get much better than to be able to shoot in one's robe

Love the cardinal in the snow. We have some snow and some cardinals here - haven't been able to get them both together tho.

    Thanks for posting.

    Very nice.

The cardinal in the snow is a fabulous contrast. I wish I could get some cardinals at my place...but not enough trees and bushes to make them comfortable I guess.

    Cheers,

    Randy.

Thanks you guys. I really am not setup to be a bird photographer but I see these great images that you are producing and I just have to get out and try. I appreciate your kind comments for my modest efforts.
