    Sandhill Crane

New lens, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L @ 400mm f/6.3 1/200 handheld balance on a fence post. Overall I am very happy with the sharpness of this lens.

    Very nice.

I have found that F7.1 is my favorite aperture for sharpness with that lens, but I am usually chasing subjects much smaller and closer and need the DOF anyway.

    I've never regretted buying mine.

    Good color and sharpness.
