    Roseate Spoonbills at Viera Wetlands

As some of you know, the North "Click Pond" next to the Viera Wetlands is currently being pumped dry. The remaining water in the pond with it's consentrated food supply is attracting a number of birds, including Roseate Spoonbills. Problem is that the birds are gathering in the remaining water thats in the middle of the pond, making close shots impossiable.

Good news..... After feeding at the "Click Ponds" the Roseate Spoonbills are comeing over to the Viera Wetlands allowing for some close shots.

Hi Ira, a beautiful bird for sure and the poses you have captured are great. That said your pictures still seem to be a bit noisy to me and the first one especially is slightly blurred. It would be interesting to know what conditions you are shooting under and what set up you are using, lens length, iso, were you shooting hand held, how much crop you used, etc. It looks like you had a spot or two on the lens as well. If you look in front of the eye on the second picture you can see it clearly and it also features in a couple of the other shots. I only mention these minor problems because if they were not present you would have an awesome set of shots there.
Keep your sense of proportion by regularly, preferably daily, visiting the natural world.
