They're both lovely shots. I especially like the Ringbill with his "catch of the day".

Good to see you again John. Nice work!! How are you liking that 300mm? It's high on my list and I think it will be my next big photo purchase.

I really like this lens. It is super sharp, and not too big. The built in lens shade is a huge plus, and the IS, even though first gen is pretty good. I miss the extra reach of the 100-400, but not the weight.

    Thanks!

Great captures.... The gull seems a bit perplexed on how exactly to start on his meal... Always nice shooting around dinner or breakfast time... Makes for some interesting subjects to go with the good light...

    `Holy cow!

Look at all these replies. I am so sorry guys, I didn't get any notifications...

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Loupey: I LOVE that lens! Having not used a prime that long before it is taking some adjustment to get good results. Zooming means walking...

I do miss the extra 100mm of the 100-400, but I am looking at a 1.4x teleconverter, so that will help out. I also invested in a monopod.

    Hopefully more to come!
