Still haven't got a great shot of him yet. There's no trespassing on the lot he's on so I've circled the perimeter trying to get a good shot, but am pretty far away no matter what I do.

Some close crops. A little too soft for it though I think.

The post looks sharp. Have you tried focusing manually?

TC's can come in very useful for long-range shots.
