    Red Shouldered Hawk drying out........

    Spotted this RSH in a ditch bathing but by the time I got the camera out he was already up on a post drying out........

    Yet another raptor I've never seen. Thanks for sharing it Eric. He/she doesn't look much bigger than an American Kestrel.

    Oh he is much bigger than a Kestrel. RSH is sitting on a rather large post (10" diamer +-)

    Looks like it was quite hot that day from the gaped mouth in both images.
