    Red Crossbills

    These two were foraging on a fallen pine tree along the Firehole River.

    How awesome is that! I onlt get to see them 60 ft up a tree in winter here and there. Great images!

    First time I'd ever seen a crossbill. I was surprised how close that male let me get to him.
