    Ravens in Love

    Wow, those are great shots! I really like ravens and find them fascinating. They often mate for life.
    Was this with the 300? Cropped?

    Hi Matt,

    This was with a rented 70-300mm L. I cropped slightly to get a better composition, but these guys were basically next to my car in a parking area overlooking some lakeside geysers. I was shooting out the car window.

    We don't have ravens in my area of the country. We used to have lots of crows, but they were hit hard by West Nile and populations are only just recovering around here. I found the ravens to be beautiful birds.

    Ravens are very social birds , so you are mostlikely correct that they are a pair.
