    Rainy day surprises...

Was not even going to try to photograph anything last Sunday at the terminal because it was raining all day, but decided to go out and look anyway. Actually got a couple interesting ones of a cardinal, a deer couple including flying geese, and a surprise find; a pair of mallards built their nest under the barge dock. I found it by accidentally frightening mama to fly out from under when I walked out to the docking pad. I was actually shooting dad as he was swimming away at the time. She flew out sqwaking and when I looked down between the crack, I could see 2 eggs layed so far. When she not there sometime, I'll attempt to get a shot of the eggs.

The third one could actually be a candidate for a wildlife painting.

That's what I thought too Mike. It's kind of water-color like. I call this shot 2 plus 2. I thought it was rare to catch 2 deer (hard to see one of them though) and 2 geese in the same shot.
