    Quack Quack

    Hey all, this is my first real true test with my new lenses because the weather was so bad in columbus. I finally got a chance to go to mirror lake on campus and take some pictures of ducks for practice...here are some of them, I can post more later. let me know what you all think!! CRITIQUE!!!!







    Canon Rebel 400D

    Stock 18-55mm
    Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II Macro Lens
    Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens
    Canon 50mm f/1.8

    The main problem, to me, is composition and the way you framed the shots. The last two could use some fill light on the heads of the ducks. The third one might benefit with a faster shutter speed to freeze the head movement of the duck...looks like it might be out of focus, too. Not many blown highlights. Just my subjective opinion.

    ok thanks, Yea, it was my first time shooting ducks in general, so thanks for the advice!!!! it really helps a lot
