    Purple Gallinule

Went out looking for Purple Gallinules Saturday morning and was not disappointed. Located about 15 adults with chicks, here are a few walking around the lily pads looking for food.

Excellent Eric. We have them here as the "American Purple Gallinule" - not often seen and a pretty rare vagrant - have yet to luck out with my first picture!
