Pileated and others

I wasn't going to go anywhere today but changed my mind and went to one of my favorite places to take pictures, it's an ecological preserve which is owned by the university here. I was quietly walking through the woods and saw a frog out of the corner of my right eye jump into the water which had ice on it just yesterday. I found some fresh beaver shavings (so I know there in the pond) as I was walking... and then... not one, but two pileated woodpeckers!!! That makes three in about three weeks I only managed to get an image of one because as I was focusing... Bubba Sr. and Bubba Jr. came walking through the woods with their dogs as if they were storming the beaches of Normandy How I wanted to beat the both of them with my mono-pod (I haven't been in a fight since the 5th grade, so that wasn't gonna happen). Anyway, here are some images from today, I have no idea what kind of frog this is, so I didn't try to ID it (I can't believe they were out today).
