A Cooper's Hawk Accipiter Cooperii peeking around one of the feeders at me.





A little grooming, a little stretch…





…then a run at the another feeder.




Not my best shots, but I thought the interaction was cool. This guy knows me (us) and will take advantage of any confusion or agitation I cause among the prey species. They'll come screaming right over head (literally inches from you) and hammer birds.This bird had just done that, but missed the kill. A friend was with me and spontaneously yelled out, "Cool!!!!!!!!" Bird wasn't phased at all.
