and the winner is .. someone we were not seeing, it was hidden behind the fisherman

Since the fisherman was sharing the catch , I could see the pelicans approaching and was able to see them land on the water , very nice smooth flyers!

Here is some more info I googled about the white pelicans ...

The pelicans fly south for the winter, they stay here from Nov to March

According to Tony Burton’s January 2006 on-line article at MexConnect, “the American White Pelican is North America's largest flying bird. It grows to about 1.58 meters (5 feet 2 inches) in length, weighing up to 11 kilos (25 pounds), with a wingspan of up to 2.74 meters (9 feet).” The scientific name for the bird is Pelecanus erythrorhynchos, and it is usually found on inland freshwater lakes. Thousands of them fly down from Ontario, Canada to the Lake Chapala area each fall, beginning in October. They remain until at least the end of March each year.
