    Pelican Migration

We are fortunate to have a couple weeks where our big mouthed friends visit on their way south. I want to play with some editing yet but here are a couple shots from Saturday. I'm not sure what to do with the wide shots. I didn't like the habitat above the birds and they were lined up so long I had to pick a start and end to get them in frame. Thoughts?

I love the top shot...very crisp, great lighting on his feet and a perfect wing position...

    Awesome capture.

Love the diagonal slope in #2. Reminds me of penguins jumping off an iceberg.

I think the wide landscape aspect ratio works well for that one. Remove the blue/cyan hue in the highlights and it will improve the shot even more.

The bottom one is a bit too busy - can't pick out a specific bird easily. Still a nice shot though.

    Thanks for sharing.

My daughter got really excited about these! She yelled "Look at the pelica!" (lol) I really love that first one too.
