    Our backyard hummers

My wife named them Ruby and Rudy. Hoping to see their babies soon. Hoping to get some better pics of them soon too. Without a flash have been my best ones so far.....

Hard to get good photos of these little critters! I keep trying though. Maybe one of these days I'll get a pic I really like............

these are quite nice if you ask me from the gear you list. Not everyone can afford a $$$$$ lens or become a photoshop master. photography is about enjoyment and the thrill of the hunt if you ask me.

Put a feeder out and you should see one within a couple of weeks, at the latest. Don't use the red nectar. The dye is bad for them. Use four parts water and one part regular sugar. Bring water to a boil and stir in sugar. Take off heat, and let it cool. Clean and change to fresh nectar every four days. Not much of the season left for this year, but you could still get some to come around.

They are entertaining to watch. Sometimes, one will run others off from the feeder. They are very territorial. Don't blink, or you will miss them. They are so fast and tiny. Go to YouTube.com and search for "hummingbirds". Quite a few good videos to see.........

These seem pretty soft as presented.
