    Osprey

I am a bit late in posting these pics, but still figuring out how to do everything right.
It's a young Osprey, but mom flew away to another tree.

    Re: Osprey

Apparently from what I read in the local paper, they come back to the same spot. It is near the lake, for some reason they built the nest near a railroad track. Will see if they come back next year, hoping to get a shot when they are smaller. Maybe some of members who live in Toronto will come up with their great cameras and take better shots than mine.

    Re: Osprey

Barb, great images. The pole the nest is on looks like an electrical pole except there no wires(?). Is there a story behind this as for the nesting location, because I know a few years ago an osprey tried to nest on a hydro pole in eastern BC and BC Hydro put up an empty pole with a platform on it for the osprey to use and they did use it.

    Cheers,

    WesternGuy
