    Oriole

    Finally!!
These birds have been eluding me for over a month or so. I knew they were nesting here, I heard them and spoke to people who spotted them, but alas my patience has paid off.
Everytime I got closer they flew off or played hide and seek with me. so these are not very close.
I cant remember the exact name ..Somthing like Northeastern Oriole?

I walked over to the lake the other day and there was the mom(?) feeding the babies, so I snapped off a few. There were also some babies flying about but I could not get then to stay still to get a good enough shot.

Good feeling to finally capture one, isn't it. Now, you just need a much longer lens.

    Re: Oriole

    Thank you Paulnj.

I went back over on friday and someone had trimmed the tree and took the nest. I dont know what they did with it but I did hear the babies squawking so they are around somewhere. The branch the nest was on was hanging very low and they opened the lake for swimming last week So I think the local wildlife organization may have moved the nest so it wouldnt get disturbed.
Now I must find them again LOL

Well look higher in that pinoak or in a neighboring tree. ANYONE who moves a nest to protect it knows not to move it too far away or the parents will never come back.
