    Orchid, cactus, & studio

Wow is it dead around here this weekend

I took these today trying different aperture settings to see which would give the best results, f/8 seems to be the best.

A Dancing Lady Orchid (Oncidium hybrida)

    Aperture f/8

    Aperture f/8

    Aperture f/11

A Moon Cactus (can't find the Latin name), I didn't spend a lot of time shooting it.

    Aperture f/10

Ok, please do not laugh My Scrap Wood Studio... the wood was left over from other projects, I only paid for 3 lights and the plastic side panels (to defuse the light). The b/g is 1/4 inch colored foam board, I cut groves in the wood so the foam board can slide in and out (to use different colors). Total cost was under $50 I'll finish it when I have more time... this is just a rough draft Images taken in the basement, reason for the outdated wood on the walls... another project.
