    Northern Flicker - my firsts

    Finally found a NF in my neck of the woods.

    Not the best angle as he was a LOT higher than me and quite far.

    But, an ice-breaker for me so here it is

    You know i saw 6 of these guys in the same tree the other day . The only bad part of seeing them was i did not have my %@#%@% camera (excuse my French ) lol

    Nice shots for ice breakers Loupey.

    I found nesting site for a pair of these guys but , just like Glenn, I did not have my camera and when I returned later with the camera the nest was no longer in use. Going to try again next year and see if they come to the same location again.

    I finally got some pics of these guys for the first time this past spring when I found a nest of them. Its always exciting to photograph a species for the first time...
