    Name this flower

    I have several trees in my back yard. they are yet to bloom. I have no idea what they are. this is what they have looked like all winter.

    Zuiko 40-150mm

    Not in bloom yet
    Olympus Evolt E-420,

    nah i just googled it. thats not it. its a tree with many of these pods on the branches.. i noticed when it rains or is cold out they are closed. when its sunny they are open. weird..

    Not a flower

    That is not a flower, it is a fruit called a capsule. It appears to be from a member of the Hibiscus family. Do you have a Rose of Sharon in your yard?

    not sure I just bought the house in january. There are many flowers starting to bloom so it is possible.

    Yes thats is exactly what the tree is.. It has capsules (fruit) on them.
