My grey heron had a bad hair day...

This is not a technically great photo, but I just thought my heron looked so funny, all dishevelled like he was just dragged out of bed

We've had a rather cold weekend and there is now a thin layer of ice on most of the lake, and I got lots of fun and interesting photos of birds on the ice. But the heron managed to find an ice-free corner though he definitely looked like the water was too cold. I just thought it was too cold altogether , but hey, what to do, when you are having fun??!! I settled for a hot cuppa and an even hotter shower when I got home...
