    My first sunset

Today was the first time I ever shot a sunset... we never get cool clouds. Focal length was 10mm.

    Thank you for looking

Just a couple of images from Lake Ontario (from today). I didn’t want to start a new thread so I’m posting them here

    Nice variations, Copy!

Isn't it a wonderful thought that you will never get the same sunset image twice?

Your examples remind me that I still need to do a locational series. I still need to find a good subject to show daylight/seasonal transitions.

    What's a Loupe for anyway?

    Re: My first sunset

Thank you Loupey and Amber, sunsets seem so cliche that I've never given them much thought... then it occurred to me that I haven't tried one... once (lol). I also wanted to use my lens @ 10mm since I didn't have any images with that focal length. The image with the sun and seagull was taken with my 300mm and 1.4X TC.

Here's another image of the clouds taken with a focal length of 22mm.

    Re: My first sunset

Thank you Bev, I used a tripod for the first image. I wanted to use it for the storm clouds, but it was raining... so I took the images from inside my car.
