My first hawk and a few others

Since receiving my junior birder badge from PaulNJ earlier this year, I've been trying to capture an image of a redtailed hawk. Got my first this evening - only I wish it was coming instead of going

    1st image: 300mm straight
    2nd image: 300mm + 2x TC
    3rd image: 300mm + 2x TC
    4th image: 300mm straight

Not quite as impressive as Emily pushing a Cantaloupey out of herself but oh well

Bevb we've been in some thing of heat wave all across the country. Many of us have gone to ground so to speak and are sticking our heads out of the AC only when we have to. I haven't has a camera out of my bag in two weeks. Hope to rectify that today.

By the way Loupey nice shots keep practicing and Paul may upgrade your badge.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Indeed! I have only been shooting a minimal amount, and mostly indoor events. Can't wait til summer is over.

Nice job... BTW, that's a redtailed hawk

I work outside M-F leaving a 6am and getting home as late as 8:30pm, so I assure you I am tired and tired of heat I did take images last week at 7am, but I was asked by the client to not share those rare birds yet.
