    my first bald eagle

This is truly the first time I've ever been this close to a bald eagle. I was limited to the lens I have though. It's only a 28-135mm. I was about 50-60 yards away from the bird. I took a total of 8 shots this one came out the best though. Comments welcome.

    Re: my first bald eagle

This image looks like it has a serious color cast on it, but you did the best with the lens you got then. I would be tempted to point the camera to the left more though for the reason that the eagle is looking to its right, which is the left side of the photo from the perspective of the viewer. Assuming your subject of interest is the eagle, as is, the right side of the photo is not complementing in my opinion.

Looking forward to more of your eagle shot.

Had to crawl through the brush just to get the picture. There was a lot of distractions in the shot. Out of focus branches and weeds. Here is the original photo cropped with just the eagle. I'm also trying to edit with a different monitor too could be the reason for the color problem.

    My I?

Hope it was ok that I played around with your photo. It's exciting getting your first eagle shot isn't it? Hey, I still get excited. It is really difficult to get good shots of these elusive guys.
    Anyway... congrats on your first!

No I don't mind a bit. The image seems to be really strong saturation on this monitor I'm using. I'm going to have to play with the colors on it I guess.

    Re: my first bald eagle

Congrats on capturing your first eagle and thanks for sharing it.

The photo has a purple/blue haze on my monitor.
Do you think this happened in post processing?
You might want to check your cameras white balance setting, just in case.
I mis adjusted mine once and all the photos came out orange. duh!
Thank goodness for raw files and PP. I was able to fix the problem.
