The first picture is of a female blackbird that visits the garden regularly for food, sometimes even standing on the doormat in the kitchen doorway and calling out telling me she is there, the other image is of her only known offspring this year, havingknown that twice her nests were raided by Jays/magpies, but even so mum is becoming quite grumpy towards her large chick, but the youngster wont take the hint!

Certainly a chip of the old block!.
