Moth macro's

I was very surprised to see this moth fluttering around today, we've had a frost the last two nights.

I used the 300mm f/4 with the 2X converter on a mono-pod (probably should have used a larger f stop)... I need to order some tubes this week

I love close up pictures! How did you even find that little guy, he blends almost perfectly with the leaves. Good shots!

Thank you Cultex. I just happened to notice him fluttering around, the more you go out to take wildlife type images, the more you notice You look for out of place things.

I saw a moth on Thanksgiving morning (when I shot the polarizer example) but lost it. I found it odd as well.

Love your last image. The color on color is very nice.

Now go order those tubes, man!
