Moth?

yeah they way i tell is how the wings fold. that one would be a moth (even though in the pic the wings look like a butterflys, i suspect they were in motion and not folded in)

Looks like a Silver Y found here in the UK.

He was about the size of a grass skipper butterfly, maybe slightly larger. I thought originally it was a skipper when I first saw him. I haven't been able to figure out an ID yet.
