    A Morning with Perfect Light!

Had one of those incredible mornings where everything came together. Lots of wildlife, and the most perfect, diffused natural light you can imagine. I did the best I could to take advantage of the situation. Here are a few:

Great series as always Bob. Is September a good month for birding down there? I am planing to visit my mother in Naples sometime next month.
    Thanks Frank

It depends on what you're after really. The migratory species really don't even start coming in until October, but the Woodstorks are already starting to come back. There is always, of course, great birding on the year-round species. PM me when you get here, and I'll tell you where to go and have the best chance at a good birding experience.

You already gave me some places a while back. I don't know where they are now but I will send you a PM when I am going to go down.
    Thanks

All are great images, but I love roseate spoonbills and the first image is my favorite.

Glad you guys liked these. I will post a few more in another thread later. It was a special morning.

Paul - Regarding that Spoonbill shot. I actually wasn't satisfied with it yet, as something was just off a bit compositionally. I did a re-crop, and moved the bird lower in the frame. I then took the unconventinal approace of adding empty space on the top side. What this did was removed the distracting portion of the bird's reflection, and gave the focal points to the birds eye, and then down to the splash in the water. To many folks, this may seem a bit anal. However, to me this has had a dramatic change to the "feel" of the image. I like it now.
