    Morning bonus, Flickers!

    I was out shooting some boats this morning, and as I started walking back down off the crest of the bridge I spotted this pair of flickers building a new home:

    Great pictures, I like all three shots.


    One comment, I think you have Red Bellied Woodpeckers, not flickers.:blush2:

    I REALLY have to get a field manual or something :blush2: or at least do some research BEFORE writing the title line. Based on my limited knowledge I was sure they were Northern Flickers, but when I gooogled "red bellied woodpeckers" it was obvious I was wrong :lol:

    Thanks for the comments everyone. This was one of those rare times I actually had to point the camera downward to capture birds in a tree
