    More Of The Commons

Haven't seen anything I don't see all of the time.. though only made it out twice in two weeks...

    1. I think this guy went 'out on a limb' get get seeds.. I think it was afraid to go backwards on the thin stick

    2. Just another 'BCC' but I like that I can see into it's eye... with only the 70-300 it's a bit of a crop like all my other pictures

    3. Not really a good picture, but the turkey vultures seem to be here really early.. the sunlight through the feathers makes it look like I cropped and put it into blue sky.

    4. And, another red wing blackbird

Saw a decent sized hawk of some time but by the time I could get across a trail that was cut off by river-overflow I never saw it again to get a shot.

Sparrow? where? It's a Black Capped Chickadee.. one of THE most common in Northern Minnesota.. I can actually have those land on me or the camera if I stand completely still in winter.

Nice shots, I like that turkey vulture shot. I was in Costa Rica for the last two weeks of March and watched them while eating breakfast each morning on the deck of the hotel. Unfortunately I did not have my camera gear with me, just a pocket point and shoot since I knew I'd be too busy to make taking the gear worthwhile.

Instead of another thread.. I'll post a few from today (Easter) .. it was really windy so I went into the woods more than staying on trails and the old railroad road.

    1. A longggg crop of a goose

    2. On bard wire guarding a power station.. maybe a bushtit.. not sure.

    3. Slow shutter speed, and lucky to get the takeoff,

    4. The first deer I've seen since this fall.. actually saw 4 but only got 2 shots.. this one's the only one with most of the face in it.. through lots of small trees
