    More common birds

    Gave RAW a shot today. Can't say I like the additional work, but think the results are certainly better. At least it is easier to fix exposure problems. They aren't the sharpest things, but it was 30 degrees with winds of about 25 mph...IOW COLD!!

    Any tips for the next time?

    BTW... I saw the dust speck already...grrrrrrrrr

    I really don't know. I assumed a warbler, there were others that looked exactly the same but had yellow patches under the wing on the back.

    Perhaps a yellow rump?

    Someone will be along to set us straight

    Whatever it is, it's certainly a cute poofed-out bird.

    RAW would be my mode of choice. IMO better to capture a straight unprocessed image now to be processed by better editting software later.

    BTW, love the moss-covered branch in the background of #3.
