    Monitor lizard

here's a monitor lizard, Varanus acanthurus.

Taken at wide angle (36mm) with no add-on lenses - almost forgot what it is like to have fast, responsive focus Makes me want to get the WA converter (0.7x) to play around with.

I meant to spend the day stalking the kestrel I saw last week, but the light was bad, the weather was cold, and NOTHING was moving.

My god! I haven't seen a spiny tailed in years!

BTW, I think the link is bad because I needed to copy the image address to view it.
