    I think your b&w conversion is much better on this one. But because I know the colorful nature of the subject, b&w doesn't do much for me in this case.

    Nothing wrong with what you did, just the technique doesn't match the subject matter IMO.

    Again, keep trying new things. Never know until you try. :thumbsup:

    Thanks again for taking the time to comment. I knew when I started messing with a butterfly in b/w that there was a high risk; somethings were not meant to be in b/w and butterflies could be the #1 subject. However, both the attempts came out well enough to be posted for feedback. I though this shot had good tonal range and is sharp enough to carry it off. It was all in fun, experimenting, and enjoying time with my photos. Thanks for recognizing that. I appreciate the support.
