    Momma Robin in Nest

Got surprised by this girl chirping loudly at me when I was walking to Starbucks this morning. She's in a small tree with the next about eye level.

I came back with my camera and got some shots. I must have unnerved her since she popped from the nest and started bobbing around the tree chirping (I think a warning chirp... I've heard robins do this when they see my neighbor's cat hunting). Took a few quick ones of her since she was puffed up a bit then moved away so she could relax and get back to work.

Yep... the tree itself is small, maybe 6-7 feet high. She's in the lower branches, just high enough that I can't quite look into the nest without a stool. It's a densely branched tree, but I don't know why she didn't for for one of the perfectly good, large maples right next door!

I'll check back on her and see if there are any babies anytime soon
