    Mississippi Eagles

We went over to the Mississippi river yesterday to shoot the bald eagles. Right around 0 Def F but I was plenty warm when the eagles were close. In the place where it's good to shoot, the whole river was open and there were 'only' about 30 eagles. On a good day there are dozens and the the river is frozen over except near where we stand to shoot. I had a great time and managed to get a couple in focus by accident.

I can't upload the images. I'll try again later.

Nice series, Terry. Did the cold temp have a noticeable impact on battery life?

    Thanks.

I used two batteries for the day of shooting - about 800 images. I'm use to shorter battery life with Sony since everything is electronic. I've never found it to be a problem; I just carry several. My 20 year old Minolta 600mm f/4 did stop AFing after about an hour in the cold.
