    Mink with Dinner

As my husband and I walked along the seawall this afternoon, I saw this little brown flash of fur running over the rocks toward us with a fish in his mouth. He was just too fast to get a focused shot, and then he disappeared. We waited for a while, hoping he would show himself again, and after about 10 minutes I saw a furry brown back as he slid into the water. A moment later he reappeared with another fish in his mouth. I grabbed this quick shot -- not great exposure with the blown out highlights, but I had to be quick, I was happy to catch one with a fish.

The mink disappeared beneath the upper rocks and a few moments later, reappeared again from a lower exit beneath the surface. When he came back to shore in the same spot, he posed for a few minutes. My husband actually figures there were two or even three living in the same den (must be mother and kits, as they don't normally play well with others). Though we only saw one at a time, we did see one that was visibly larger than this one.

Really nice captures! Would be nice to get down to their level thou, but I imagine that might be difficult

Why scarey, khmerxbxbxboi? This little critter was only about a foot long and maybe five inches tall at the shoulder. If it had notice me, it probably would have thought I was a scarey monster that might step on it.

far from a scary creature, they are very reclusive and secretive due to size.
