    Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge (Wednesday) Peregrine Falcon too!

    Went to the Space Center Wednesday to check on some projects and found a little time to make a loop around Black Point Wildlife Drive.


    1 Kestrel on the wire as I approached the trail......



    2 Then a Peregrine Falcon landed on the tree on the other side of the road (Lighting was not working....couldn't get him to move ;()

    9 Found another Sora





    10 Great White Egret





    11 Little Piggy trying to hide from me.....he basically stayed still until i left..

    My goofy work computer has your pics blocked. My parents live about 30 minutes south of there and I make that loop just about everytime I visit them. We usually find plenty to shoot and the kiddos have a blast being my lookouts.

    I will have to pull your thread up again when I get away from the office.

    My favorite is the reddish egret - the loop of water droplets is fantastic.

    What is Florida's stand on feral pigs? Here in Ohio, there is a standing shoot to kill order (I'm not a hunter). Just curious if it is a problem down there.

    Fantastic shots Eric, hard to choose a favourite but the lighting on the under part of the great white egret's wings really caught my eye along with the splash from it's trailing toe. Super!

    My faves would be the Little Blue Heron (love the reflection) and the Belted Kingisher (I know just how tough these are to get). Nice series.
