    Meerkat Manor

    I was digging though my old D30 stuff and found these pics of Meerkats from the Jacksonville Zoo.

    I love meerkats. They are so much fun to watch. It looks like the Jacksonville zoo has better lighting in their habitat than they have here at the Toronto zoo. Nice shots John.

    It's acually an outdoor habitat, so I had the best light source there is. I was still shooting JPEGs back then and the WB was not always the best, but there was also the reflection of that red clay to deal with.

    Great shot's Almo! I love meerkats! The lighting at the zoo here is also too bad to get images like that.

    I found this pic of meerkats scavenging for food one morning between the rondavels where we stayed while on holiday in the Limpopo Province of South Africa last year.
