    The Marbled White Butterfly

Took these in July when the marbled whites were out and about in the fields and meadows.

Love the wing markings on these.

Excellent work considering the close distance you must be with that 50mm+tube combination.

Better to go from hard to easy so that when you go to the 180mm macro or telephoto+tube it will really be easy for you.

    Nice, Bev.
I remember chasing them in my teens with a Zenit-E and 135mm on tubes with dual flash and a tripod. I must have looked nuts running across the field with all that lot !
Did you get any upper wing shots?

    Re: The Marbled White Butterfly

    Thanks Scott-Devon, Loupey and PAul.

Loupey i have tried with the telephoto (100-400L) and tubes but find it quite a lump to work with, although the more im using it the better its getting.

PAul, i think i have got some upper wing shots will have to go through files and come back on this one.
