    Manatee

    This is the first wild manatee I've seen. Photographed yesterday in Crystal River, FL.

    Cool image. Just south of Crystal River, you can find some awesome tidal marsh areas, but you probably already know that. This makes me wish I was into photography back then.

    I like this image a lot. I love how you can see the scars on it's back. As sad as it is, it's a good reminder that what we do has an impact on the rest of our world.

    I searched for them in the tampa area, but always "just missed it"... $^&$*(*!!!!!!

    Thanks all. Crystal River is famous for its manatees, but this was my first sighting in several visits. made me want ot jump in with him/her.
