It's amazing what you find when you go to the zoo and look into the small world.

#1 Giant Katydid from Africa
#2 Crocodile Newt
#3 Leaf Frog (I forget which type but it started with an "M")
#4 White's Tree Frog
#5 Some other type of Tree Frog

The first one is reminiscent of what one sees from inside a car windshield. Ah, summer is almost here

LMAO .. ahh Loupey.. always good for comic relief =P But those bugs you speak of are not 5 inches long.. and the last thing that goes through their minds.. .is usually their bum.

I do believe that's a waxy monkey treefrog in the last image. Also, that is not a crocodile newt, but some kind of monitor type lizard?

Well it was labeled as a crocodile newt. It was only 6 inches in length in total and almost completely submersed in a tank that was not much bigger than a 10 gallon tank. However they could have had it mis-labeled..... They are in a transition period in that particular pavilion. There was only one animal visible in the entire enclosure though and I have never seen anything in there before.

yeah newts wouldn't havae scales like that, it is some type of reptile.
